Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 1429-1985 "Determination of ash content of carbon materials."
The main difference compared with the original standard criteria are as follows.
--- Increase the "scope" section;
--- Original standard test procedures in the bottom block sample "size is 0.3mm" to "particle size of 0.2mm";
--- Original standard test conditions of high temperature furnace and the "850 ± 20 ℃" to "850 ℃ ± 10 ℃";
--- Standardized format and some units.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, instruments and equipment for measuring ash content of carbonaceous materials, and prepared to take the test step, the junction of the sample

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1

5 samples taken and prepared
5.1 carbon materials sampling conducted in accordance with GB/T 1427 regulations.

5.5 Carbon Paste sample size is 0.5mm. Bottom block samples after electrolysis is prepared, to get rid of the surface of the electrolyte, a particle size of 0.2mm.
