Foreword
This standard is in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules drafted.
This standard replaces GB/T 1420-2004 "palladium sponge." This standard compared with the original standard, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Modify palladium sponge Grades SM-Pd99.95 in Pb content of impurity elements from the 0.005% to 0.003%;
--- Deleting non-essential measure impurity element calcium requirements (see Table 1 edition 2004);
--- Palladium sponge products increase the amount of the allowable range of ignition loss (see 3.2.3);
--- Increasing the SM-Pd99.99, SM-Pd99.95, measuring SM-Pd99.9 in Cr, Bi, Sn and Ru impurity elements determined
Determination of impurity elements in the wavelength range and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. While determining SM-Pd99.99,
SM-Pd99.95 impurity elements can also be measured with reference to YS/T 362 (see 4.1);
Determination of impurity elements in palladium --- deleting the original standard Appendix A ordinary emission spectrometry;

Palladium sponge by palladium content is divided into three grades. SM-Pd99.99, SM-Pd99.95, SM-Pd99.9.
