This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 13492-1992 "Automotive topcoats of various colors" and GB/T 13493-1992 "Automotive primers".
Based on GB/T 13492-1992, it integrates the contents of GB/T 13493-1992.
In addition to adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.1992 edition);
b) Added “Terms and Definitions” (see Chapter 3);
c) "Product Classification" has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the.1992 edition);
d) Added items and indicators for primer and intermediate paint (see 5.1 and 5.2);
e) Added "density", "non-volatile matter content", "hiding power", "drying time", "film appearance", "impact resistance", "DOI value", and "orange peel"
"Acid resistance", "Alkali resistance", "Artificial guano resistance", "Motor oil resistance", "Diesel resistance", "Automotive chemical resistance", "Stone impact resistance", "
The items, indicators and test methods of "Salt spray resistance", "Moisture resistance" and "Cyclic corrosion alternation test" have been deleted, and the items of "Weather resistance" and "Dazzling image" have been deleted.
Indicators and test methods have been changed to include "state in container", "fineness", "storage stability", "bending test", "cup test", "pencil hardness test", etc.

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of automotive coatings products.
This document is applicable to the coating in the main automobile factory, used for the body/cab surface and the covering parts and components coated at the same time.
Solvent-based and water-based coatings for decoration and protection.
This document does not apply to electrophoretic coatings and powder coatings.
