This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required. This document is part 1 of GB/T 12357 Multimode optical fibre for telecommunications. GB/T 12357 has been published in the following parts. --- Part 1.Characteristics of category A1 multimode optical fibre; --- Part 2.Characteristics of category A2 multimode optical fibre; --- Part 3.Characteristics of category A3 multimode optical fibre; --- Part 4.Characteristics of category A4 multimode optical fibre. This document replaces GB/T 12357.1-2015 "Multimode optical fibre for telecommunications - Part 1.Characteristics of category A1 multimode optical fibre" Compared with GB/T 12357.1-2015, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows. a) Changed the nomenclature of A1a and A1b subclass multimode optical fibers (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2015 edition); b) Added abbreviations (see Chapter 4); c) Changed the requirements for cladding diameter and cladding non-circularity of A1-OM2, A1-OM3, A1-OM4 and A1-OM5 sub-class multimode optical fibers. See Table 1, Table 1 of the.2015 edition; d) Added A1-OM2b, A1-OM3b, A1-OM4b subclass multimode optical fibers and performance requirements (see Chapter 6, Appendix D); e) Added A1-OM5 subclass multimode optical fiber and performance requirements (see Chapter 6, Appendix D); f) Added the wavelength of the light source for the core diameter, numerical aperture and differential mode delay tests, as well as the threshold requirements for the core diameter and numerical aperture tests. Compared with IEC 60793-2-10.2022, this document has more structural adjustments. The structural number changes between the two documents are as follows. See Appendix A for a list. The technical differences between this document and IEC 60793-2-10.2022 and their reasons are as follows. a) The normative reference GB/T 15972.20 replaced IEC 60793-1-20 to adapt to my country’s technical conditions and improve operability.
