This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document replaces GB/T 11106-1989 "Methods for Determination of Compact Strength by Compression of Cylindrical Compacts for Metal Powders", and
Compared with GB/T 11106-1989, in addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) terms and definitions are added (see Chapter 3);
b) Added testing machine requirements (see 5.1);
c) Changed the requirements for molds, presses, balances, dimension measuring instruments, and adjustable ball seat pads (see 5.2~5.6, 4.1~ of the 1989 edition
4.5);
d) Added test rate control requirements (see 7.2);
e) the rupture load value is accurate to 10N (see 7.3, 5.6 of the 1989 edition);
f) Change "σd" to "Rd", "N/mm2" to "MPa", and "Ao" to "So" (see Chapter 8, 1989 edition of
6.1);
g) Amend the numerical rounding rule to "round off to 1MPa according to the provisions of GB/T 8170" (see Chapter 8, 6.2 of the 1989 edition);

5 Instruments and equipment
5.1 Testing machine
The testing machine of any system used for compression testing shall have an accuracy of Class 1 or better and shall be checked in accordance with GB/T 16825.1.
