In addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The definition of maximum permissible error has been deleted (see 3:2 of the:2004 edition);
b) Added straight-in thread micrometer and probe type (see 4:1:1, 4:1:3);
c) The probe parameter values have been changed (see 4:2:4, 4:2:2 of the:2004 edition);
d) The matching conditions between the micrometer screw and the sleeve have been changed (see 5:5:2, 5:3:2 of the:2004 edition)
e) Added the inspection method for the coaxiality of the axis of the probe holes at both ends (see 5:12);
f) Added inspection conditions for thread micrometer (see 6:1, 6:2);
g) Added the inspection method for calibration rod (see 7:8):
