This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents".
Drafting is required.
This document replaces GB/T 10115-2008 “Fresh Cocoons of Tussah Silkworm”. Compared with GB/T 10115-2008, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes,
In addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.
Changed the “Scope” (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);-
Added the term and definition of "fresh tussah cocoons" (see 3.1);
Changed the terms and definitions of "upper cocoon", "secondary cocoon", "lower cocoon", "deformed cocoon", "cotton cocoon", "double palace cocoon", and "cocoon layer rate"
(See Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);
The term and definition of “waste cocoons” (see 3.10 of the.2008 edition) have been deleted;
Added the term and definition of “impurity rate” (see 3.12);-
The provisions on upgrading of special-grade cocoons and the number of kilograms of cocoons in the technical requirements have been deleted (see 4.2 and 4.4 of the.2008 edition);
Deleted "Kilogram number test" (see 5.5 of the.2008 edition); -
The “Inspection Rules” (see Chapter 6 of the.2008 edition) have been changed;
The packaging regulations for fresh tussah cocoons have been changed (see 7.1 of the.2008 edition);
Added regulations on transportation of fresh tussah cocoons (see 7.3).

Fresh tussah cocoons
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, storage and transportation of fresh tussah cocoons, and describes the corresponding inspection procedures.
Test method.
This document applies to the quality assessment of the production, trading and processing of fresh tussah cocoons for textile use.

3 Terms and Definitions

3.1
A cocoon made by a silkworm that feeds on oak leaves and in which the pupae survive.
3.2
raw silk reeling of cocoon
Fresh tussah silkworm cocoons with normal cocoon shape, color, cocoon layer thickness, shrinkage state, and pupation state, without any defects, and suitable for reeling silk.
3.3
light defective cocoon
Fresh tussah silkworm cocoons with slight defects, but not belonging to the cocooning stage.
3.4
waste cocoon
Fresh tussah silk cocoons with serious defects that cannot be spun into tussah silk or are difficult to spun into genuine tussah silk.
Note. Including lumpy cocoons, dry and solid cocoons, deformed cocoons, cotton cocoons, rotten cocoons, double-palace cocoons, etc.

knotting cocoon
The surface of the cocoon layer is very wrinkled and rough, and it is in the shape of lumps.
