This standard and the Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives of FAO and the World Health Organization (FAO/WHO) of the United Nations (JECFA)
2002 "sodium carbonate" (in English) of non-equivalent.
This standard replaces GB 1886-1992 "food additive sodium carbonate."

1 Scope
This standard specifies requirements for a food additive sodium carbonate, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to food additive sodium carbonate. The product as acidity regulator and food processing aids in food processing.
