This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 14048.2-2008 "Low-Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment Part 2.Circuit Breakers", and is in line with GB/T 14048.2-2008

1.1 Scope and purpose
This part of GB/T 14048 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, characteristics, product data and information, normal operation, installation
And transportation conditions, structure and performance requirements and tests.
This section applies to circuit breakers whose main contacts are used to connect to circuits with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000V AC or 1500V DC.
Installation and operation by professionally trained and skilled personnel. This section also specifies supplementary requirements for circuit breakers with fuses.
Circuit breakers with a rated voltage higher than AC 1000V but not exceeding 1500V may be tested in accordance with this section.
This section applies to circuit breakers with any rated current, various structural types or various intended purposes.
