1 Scope
This standard specifies the setting conditions and setting methods for bus lanes.
This standard applies to the setting of bus lanes on urban roads.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
A lane that only allows buses to travel.
3.2
Harbor-style stop 犫狌狊犫犪狔
On the side of the roadway, take the form of partially widening the road and set up a stop for the bus to stop.
4 Bus lane setting conditions
4.1 When the city main road meets all of the following conditions, a bus lane shall be set.
a) The one-way motorway of the roadway has more than 3 lanes (including 3 lanes), or the total width of the one-way motor vehicle road is not less than 11m;
b) One-way bus passenger traffic on the road section is greater than 6000 passengers/peak hour, or bus traffic is greater than 150 vehicles/peak hour;
c) The average cross-sectional flow per lane of the road section is greater than 500 vehicles/peak hours.
4.2 When the city main road meets one of the following conditions, it is advisable to set up a bus lane.
a) One-way motorway on the roadway has more than 4 lanes (including 4 lanes), and the cross-section bus traffic is more than 90 vehicles/peak hour;
b) 3 lanes of one-way motorway on the road, the passenger traffic of one-way bus is more than 4,000 passengers/peak hour, and the bus traffic is greater than 100
Vehicle/peak hour;
c) 2 lanes of one-way motorway on the road, the passenger traffic of one-way bus is more than 6000 passengers/peak hour, and the bus traffic is greater than 150
Vehicle/peak hours.

When the bus lane is set to the far right of the direction of the motorway, it is called “outside”, as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.
