Chapter 6 of this standard is mandatory and the rest are recommended.
This standard replaces GA 93-1995 "Test Method for Door Closers for Fire Doors" from the date of implementation.
Compared with GA 93-1995, the main changes of this standard are as follows.
--- Fire door closers with positioning devices are not allowed (1995 version 6.5; Chapter 1 of this edition).
--- Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);
--- Increased classification and specifications of fire door closers (see Chapter 4);
--- Added fire door closer marker (see Chapter 5);
--- Increased the conventional performance of fire door closers (see 6.1);
--- Increased the service life of the fire door closer and the performance after the service life test (see 6.2);
---Modified the opening torque of the fire door closer at high temperature (6.2 of.1995 edition; 6.3.1 of this edition);
---Modified the maximum closing time of the fire door closer at high temperature (6.3 of the.1995 edition; 6.3.2 of this edition);
---Modified the minimum closing time of the fire door closer at high temperature (6.3 of the.1995 edition; 6.3.3 of this edition);

3 Terms and definitions
