Preface
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces FZ/T 75008-1995 "Test Method for Seam Tear Strength of Coated Fabrics". Corresponding to FZ/T 75008-1995
The main technical changes are as follows.
---The standard name "Test Method for Seam Tear Strength of Coated Fabric" is revised to "Test Method for Seam Tear Property of Coated Fabric";
---Delete the reference to GB 8170-1987 and FZ/T 75001-1993, and adjust the reference standard GB 6529 to
GB/T 6529, revised the dated reference to undated reference, and added the reference to FZ/T 01003 (see Chapter 2);
--- Added the term "slit hole tearing strength" and its definition (see 3.1);
---The requirements for thickness gauges have been deleted, and the subsequent chapter numbers have been extended (see 5.1 in the.1995 edition);
---Modified the requirements for tensile tester (see 5.1, 5.2 of the.1995 edition);
---Adjusted the requirements on the size of the test clamp head and needle piece (see 5.2, 5.3 of the.1995 edition);
---Improved the schematic diagram of the test clamp head, needle piece and sample size (see Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3, and Figure 1 and Figure 2 in the.1995 edition);
--- Deleted the requirements on the die (see 5.4 in the.1995 edition);
---Added regulations on atmospheric conditions for humidity control and testing, and subsequent chapters and articles numbering have been extended (see Chapter 6);
---Modified the thickness test method, test point location and number of test points (see 8.1, 7.2 of the.1995 edition);
---Modified the content of the test report (see Chapter 10, Chapter 9 of the.1995 edition);
--- Added sampling examples (see Appendix A).

1 Scope
This standard specifies the test method to determine the tearing performance of coated fabrics.
This standard applies to all kinds of coated fabrics.

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Stitchtearforce
Under the specified conditions, the maximum tearing force against sewing pinholes that the sample can withstand, the unit is Newton (N).
3.2
Stitchtearstrength
Under the specified conditions, the tear resistance of the sewing pinhole that the sample can withstand per unit thickness is in Newtons per millimeter (N/mm).
4 Principle
Cut a slit hole of the specified size on the strip sample, and put the end of the sample with the slit hole into the slit hole test clamp head of the tensile tester
Pierce the plane pin of the specified size into the slit hole of the sample, and clamp the other end of the sample vertically into the jaws of another holder, along the sample
Apply tensile force in the length direction and record the strength when the sample is torn by the needle.
5 equipment
5.1 Constant Velocity (CRE) Tester
The constant velocity elongation tester shall meet the following requirements.
a) The instrument can set a stretching speed of 100mm/min with an accuracy of ±10%;
b) Ability to record the tearing strength during the tearing process;
c) Under the conditions of use, at any point within the full range of the instrument, the error of indicating or recording the maximum tearing force should not exceed ±1%;
d) If the data acquisition chip and software are used to obtain the values of strength and elongation, the frequency of data acquisition should not be less than 8 times/s.
