Measurement and evaluation method
1 Scope
This document describes the test method and evaluation method for the determination of pinholes in the surface of coated nonwovens.
This document is applicable to most film-coated nonwovens with a thickness of less than 2.00 mm, including "film-cloth" structures and "film-cloth-film" structures.
Membrane nonwoven fabric and film-coated nonwoven fabric with at least one layer of non-hydrophilic nonwoven fabric in the "cloth-membrane-cloth" structure.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Film⁃coated nonwovens
Through the "cloth-membrane" compound method, two or more non-woven fabrics and film materials are combined in a certain order.

Micropores in the membrane through which the colored solution can permeate under the conditions of the test.
4 principles
Place the white absorbent paper under the sample, apply the colored solution evenly and quickly on the test surface of the sample, and then let it stand for a while.
The colored solution will pass through the pinholes on the sample and be colored on the white absorbent paper, and the number of pinholes in the sample will be counted by the coloring point.

5.1 Absolute ethanol (analytical grade, C2H5OH), 99.5% (v/v).
5.2 Rhodamine B (analytical grade), CAS number. 81-88-9.
