33 Data processing level
3.1 Data processing classification
According to the complexity of the data processing process of news and publication content resources, it is divided into content index level, full text basic level, full text standard level, and conclusion.
Structure basic level, structure complex level, layout basic level, layout reconstruction level and layout complexity level.
3.2 Content index level
The content index level is a basic primary processing method that can quickly locate digital content objects through index information and process content
include.
a) Processing of basic metadata. processing and sorting out the metadata describing the basic information of the publication;
b) Processing of basic object data. processing and sorting out the content of the publication in the form of scanned image files, or converting electronic data
Generate a collection of layout files.
3.3 Full text basic level
On the basis of the content index level, the basic structure of the basic object data is split, the full text content is recognized, and the base is established.
Index to the full text. The basic processing of the full text does not include text collation processing on the main text. The basic structure split includes.
a) Books and periodicals. split according to the directory structure of books or periodicals;
b) Newspaper. Split according to the columns and article titles of each page of the newspaper.
3.4 Full text standard level
On the basis of the basic level of the full text, text collation is performed on the main text to make the text error rate meet the relevant publishing quality standards.
When the processing object is electronic data, it needs to be transcoded. After the format file is parsed, accurate text information is extracted and converted into a streaming file.
3.5 Structured basic level
On the basis of the basic structure split, the structure of the content resource is further split, and the explicit content is indexed, including.
a) The explicit content of the book. content such as articles, chapters, sections, and authors;
b) The explicit content of the journal. content such as column, title, author, abstract and keywords;
c) The explicit content of the newspaper. date, special issue, edition name, column, title, author, etc.
3.6 Structured complexity level
On the basis of the structured basic level, the further division and indexing of the content resource structure, including.
a) The complex explicit content is split as follows.
1) Books. entries, vocabulary, references, footnotes, formulas and diagrams, etc.;
2) Journals. references, footnotes, formulas and diagrams, etc.;
3) Newspaper. classified headlines, charts and advertisements, etc.
b) Hidden content indexing includes classification and subject terms, etc.;
c) Index the link relationship, such as references, diagrams, or footnotes.
3.7 Layout Basic Level
Refers specifically to single-layer image format files.
3.8 Layout Refactoring Level
On the basis of the basic level of the layout, the text content part is processed, so that the text part can be selected, copied and searched, including.
a) The electronic data is converted and restored to a full vector digital format file consistent with the original publication;
b) Paper publications can be processed to generate double-layer vectorized format files, single-layer vectorized format files, and double-layer vectorized format files.
The full-text part of the document is divided into two types. basic-level processing and standard-level processing.
3.9 Layout complexity level
Further processing of format files, including.
a) Indexing of links within the text.
1) Index the footnotes, references, indexes, etc. of books and journals and establish the relationship with the link points of the main text;
2) Establish the link relationship of "downward" and "upward connection" in digital content objects;
3) Establish a link relationship between newspaper format files and streaming files.
b) Re-typesetting. The processing method of adapting and re-typesetting the original layout due to the limitation of the screen size of the mobile reading device. The layout
The adjustment does not affect the original semantic relationship or reading order.
4 Application mode of data processing

Storage and on-demand printing applications, etc., and provide a data basis for subsequent digital processing.
4.3 For general e-book applications
For general e-book applications, index-level processing can be adopted, and e-book applications based on layout presentation and browsing can be supported, and basic e-book applications can be supported.
This metadata retrieval and digital format file browsing. When the processing object is a paper publication, the digital format file can adopt the full-text basic level, version
Type basic level processing, the content is not structured. When the processing object is electronic data, the digital format file can adopt the full-text standard, version
Type reconstruction level, the content is not structured.

4.5 For content database applications
Content-oriented database applications can adopt format reconstruction level or format complex level, high-precision full text level, structured basic level or structured complex
Miscellaneous processing, so that the content can be separated from the limitation of the original carrier, and separated, indexed or reorganized and aggregated with a smaller particle size to form a new internal
Content system and flexible support for various retrieval and knowledge organization applications.
