1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of hexachloro-1,3-butadiene in polymer materials for food contact materials by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of hexachloro-1,3-butadiene content in PP, PE, silicone rubber and rubber.

2 Method summary

The hexachloro-1,3-butadiene in the sample was extracted with methylene chloride in an ultrasonic bath, and the sample was concentrated by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
