Determination of acetaldehyde headspace gas chromatography
1 Scope
This standard specifies the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin and its products acetaldehyde headspace chromatographic method.
This standard applies to the determination of acetaldehyde in the resin and its products terephthalate (PET) polyethylene terephthalate.
PET resin and its products acetaldehyde measured lower limit 0.3μg/g.
Principle 2
In a closed container and a certain temperature, PET resin and its products in the residual acetaldehyde between the gas phase (headspace) and matrix (solid phase) exists
Allocation balance. After equilibrium is reached, it will be introduced into the gas phase portion separated by gas chromatography, detection by flame ionization detector, external standard method
Quantified.
3 Materials and Reagents
3.1 acetaldehyde standard solution. 1000mg/L (acetonitrile as solvent, chromatographic grade purity).
NOTE. The solution should be stored away from light, stored in a refrigerator is recommended -20 ℃ ~ -10 ℃ in a period of three months.
3.2 nitrogen purity ≥99.99%.
4 instruments and equipment
4.1 Gas chromatograph. equipped with a flame ionization detector.
4.2 automatic headspace sampler.
4.3 bottles. 20mL, cover with aluminum and silicon rubber gasket PTFE membrane.
4.4 micro syringe. 1μL.
4.5 Analysis of balance. a sense of the amount of 0.1mg.
4.6 mill, with a pore size sieve.
4.7 liquid nitrogen tank.
Preparation 5 samples
5.1 The PET resin pellets or pre-cut into 2cm × 2cm PET article sufficiently massive and uniformly mixed as the test sample. Weigh
About 10g test sample is placed in liquid nitrogen to cool for about 10min. Immediately after the sample was taken crushed with a pulverizer to a particle size of about 1mm ~
5mm, grinding time is not more than 30s.
