Foreword
SN/T 0760 "Code for Inspection of Steel Drum Packaging for Maritime Export Dangerous Goods" is divided into two parts.
--- Part 1. Use identification;
--- Part 2. Performance test.
This part is the first part of SN/T 0760.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces SN/T 0760.1-1999 "Code of Practice for the Use of Steel Barrel Packaging for Maritime Export of Dangerous Goods". This part and

Part 1. Use identification
1 Scope
This part of SN/T 0760 stipulates the sampling quantity, identification method and determination of the use of marine drums for the export of dangerous goods.
Guidelines.
This part is applicable to the identification of the use of steel drums for the export of dangerous goods by sea.

International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (2014 Edition 37-14)
3 requirements
3.1 The application form, the factory inspection certificate, and the performance inspection result list are clear and consistent, which is consistent with the actual product.
3.2 The packaging container used should be compatible with the dangerous goods being filled.
3.3 The packaging category of the container should be higher than or equal to the packaging category required by the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code for the goods, such as Class I packaging.

3.4 Open steel buckets are generally not available for loading liquids, but open steel buckets that pass the SN/T 0760.2 inspection can accommodate flow viscosity.

3.7 Generally, liquid dangerous goods should be filled to less than 98% of the total volume of the container, and liquid cargo with a large expansion coefficient should be based on its expansion coefficient.
Determine the reserved volume of the container. It should be ensured that the container is not filled with liquid at 55 °C.
3.8 The surface of the packaging container should be clean and no dangerous residues, contamination or leakage should be allowed.
3.9 Applicants should provide supervisors for new types of chemical dangerous goods that are not listed in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code and whose hazard characteristics are unknown.
A classification and identification report of the dangerous characteristics of the dangerous goods issued by the inspection agency approved by the department, which is determined according to the classification and its dangerous characteristics.
Use suitable packaging and properly package dangerous goods.
3.10 Dangerous goods and the packaging containers (including coatings) in contact with them shall not cause any chemical reaction that affects the strength of the packaging container.
3.11 The sealing ring shall not react chemically with the dangerous goods loaded, but will lose the sealing effect or affect the quality of the goods.
