| Summary | This standard specifies the quantitative test method for ferromagnetic abrasive particles of lubricating oil and grease. This standard is applicable to the determination of ferromagnetic abrasive particles in lubricating oil or grease, with a concentration range of 0mg/kg to 10000mg/kg. This standard applies to all types of lubricating oil and grease obtained from mechanical equipment, including engine oil, turbine oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil and grease. This standard is a method for testing the concentration of ferromagnetic abrasive particles by placing a sample of lubricating oil or grease in a magnetometer, and the results can be displayed directly without further calculation. This standard is applicable to the test of the ferromagnetic abrasive grain content of in-use lubricating oils and greases at various degradation stages. |
