| Summary | This standard specifies the use of gas chromatography to determine the boiling range of petroleum products distribution method. This standard applies to the final pressure at atmospheric pressure below 538 , the initial boiling point higher than 55.5 of petroleum products and distillates. These petroleum products and fractions have a sufficiently low vapor pressure that they can be sampled at room temperature. This standard includes Method A and Method B. Method A (Chapters 6 through 14): allows more columns to be selected (eg, packed and large-bore capillary columns) and analytical conditions, as well as thermal conductivity detectors and flame ionization detectors. Analysis time is 14min ~ 60min. Method B (Chapter 15 ~ Chapter 23): limited to three kinds of large diameter capillary column, the sample without dilution. In addition, Method B applies not only to the sample types described in Method A, but also to those containing biodiesel blends |
