Summary: This standard specifies the technical requirements for rust and pickling before the coating of steel parts, as well as the technical requirements of the surface condition after pickling and the safe disposal of pickling waste. Pickling and rust removal of hot-dip galvanizing and zinc-based coatings can be carried out in accordance with this standard. This standard does not apply to steel parts with tensile strength greater than or equal to 1000MPa.
