Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document is equivalent to ISO /T S11251.2019 "Analysis of evolved gases of volatile components in single-walled carbon nanotube samples of nanotechnology" Analysis/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Characterization". The document type was adjusted from ISO technical specifications to my country's national standardization guidance technical documents. The following minimal editorial changes were made to this document. --- To coordinate with the existing standards, the name of the standard is changed to "Nanotechnology Single-walled Carbon Nanotube Volatile Component Test Emitted Gas Analysis" Analysis/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry. Please note that some of the contents of this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document does not assume the responsibility for identifying patents. This document was proposed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This document is under the jurisdiction of the National Nanotechnology Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC279). Nanotechnology Single-walled carbon nanotube volatile component testing Evolved Gas Analysis/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

1 Scope

This document describes a method for characterizing evolved gases from single-walled carbon nanotube samples using evolved gas analysis/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Note. Due to the influence of heating and the possible presence of catalysts, the qualitative and quantitative results of the emitted gas may differ from the gas contained in the sample.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute the essential clauses of this document through normative references in this document. For referenced documents without a date, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for referenced documents without a date, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to This document. 3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in ISO /T S80004-3 and the following apply to this document. The URLs for terminology databases used for standardization maintained by ISO and IEC are as follows. 3.1 Single-walled carbon nanotube; SWCNT A carbon nanotube consisting of a cylindrical carbon monolayer. [Source. GB/T 30544.3-2015, 4.4] 3.2 Evolved gas analysis; EGA A method for qualitatively and/or quantitatively measuring the functional relationship between the volatile products released from a sample and the temperature under programmed temperature control. [Source. GB/T 30544.6-2016, 4.24, modified] 3.3 evolved gas analysis/mass spectrometry; EGA/MS A technique that uses mass spectrometry to analyze how the gas components released from a sample change with temperature. Note. Although multiple evolved gases can be detected simultaneously at a specific temperature, the different components cannot be uniquely identified using mass spectrometry alone. 3.4 evolved gas analysis/gas chromatograph-mass spectrometry; EGA/GCMS A technique that combines gas chromatography and mass spectrometry to analyze the chemical composition of gases evolving from a sample at different temperatures. NOTE. The evolved gases are passed through a gas chromatograph (GC) to separate each component for identification in a mass spectrometer (MS) unit.
