Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 5265-1985 "underwater noise measurement."
This standard and GB/T 5265-1985 compared to the main content increased uncertainty analysis and data processing and other aspects.
The Standard Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D is an informative annex.
This standard was proposed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee of Acoustics (SAC/TC17) centralized.
This standard was drafted. Institute of Acoustics, Institute of naval equipment system.

This standard replaces the standards previously issued as follows.
--- GB/T 5265-1985.
Underwater Acoustic Noise Measurement
1 Scope
This standard specifies the conditions and methods of measurement of underwater noise, so that the measurement data obtained results can compare and contrast.
This standard applies to the measurement of underwater noise deep ocean, shallow sea, the harbor and the bay and other premises.
NOTE. river, lakes and other underwater noise measurements refer to this standard.
This standard is applicable frequency range. 20Hz ~ 20kHz.
This standard specifies the measurement results may be sonar system design, underwater acoustic equipment operating range analysis and projections, ship underwater radiated noise measurement
Analysis of the amount of background correction to provide data; underwater ocean noise measurement as an acoustic remote sensing methods can be used to estimate the relevant environmental parameters,
Such as wind speed, waves, earthquakes, tsunamis and the like; biological monitoring underwater noise and man-made noise sources; can also be used to study the underwater noise generation, propagation
The physical mechanism and statistical characteristics.

The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard and become the standard terms. For dated references, subsequent
Amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this standard, however, encourage the parties to the agreement are based on research

3 Terms and Definitions
GB/T 3947-1996 and established the following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Due to natural causes, such as waves, turbulence, thermal disturbance caused by noise in the ocean.
NOTE. In addition to biological noise, seismic noise, rain noise, noise and other man-made ocean noise is called the noise, the former is called ambient noise (ambient
noiseofthesea).
3.2
For receiving acoustic-electric water acoustic signal transducer.
Note. Due to the working principle, structure and characteristics of different types have different hydrophones. As classification according to the principle, piezoelectric hydrophone, electromagnetic hydrophone, light
Fiber hydrophone, MEMS hydrophone like.
3.3
Secondary standard water is used as the sound of water measured hearing. Measuring hydrophone hydrophone is usually a standard or a standard transmitter comparative method
calibration.
