4.Principles and Processes
4.1 Method Principles
Coke oven gas undergoes pretreatment, compression, purification, and catalytic or non-catalytic conversion to obtain a mixed gas, which is then separated to obtain a gas with higher purity.
Carbon monoxide and hydrogen. Carbon monoxide undergoes catalytic coupling with methyl nitrite to form dimethyl oxalate, which then reacts with the byproduct hydrogen.
Synthesize ethylene glycol.
The main reaction principle is as follows.
a) Synthesis of dimethyl oxalate.
