1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for aviation obstruction lights (hereinafter referred to as "obstruction lights") and markings on obstacles, and the testing and inspection methods.
Laws, inspection rules, as well as nameplates, instructions, packaging, transportation and storage.
This document applies to obstruction lights installed on fixed buildings, structures, moving objects within airport flight zones, overhead cables, and other obstacles.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
beam spread angle
On a specified plane, the angle between two directions in which the light intensity is equal to 50% of the specified minimum peak light intensity.
3.2
Vertical aiming angle
The angle between the direction of maximum light intensity emission and the horizontal plane.
3.3
effective intensity
The effective light intensity of a flash is equivalent to that of a constant-color light source that produces the same field of view under the same observation conditions.
