3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
median lethal dose; LD50
The statistical dose of a toxicant that causes half of the animals to die after a single administration of the test substance to experimental animals.
The mass of the test substance received per unit body weight is expressed.
3.2
Maximum non lethal dose; LD0
The highest toxic dose that does not cause death to experimental animals after a single administration of the test substance to experimental animals.
Body weight is expressed as the mass of the test substance.
3.3
Minimum total lethal dose; LD100
The lowest statistical dose of a toxicant that causes all death of experimental animals after a single administration of the test substance to experimental animals.
The body weight is expressed as the mass of the test substance received.
3.4
acute oral toxicity
Health-damaging effects that occur in experimental animals within a short period of time (7 days) after a single oral administration of a test substance.
3.5
Test substances
A pure substance or mixture composed of various elements.
4 Experimental Overview
A series of test substances with different concentrations were orally infused into the beautiful spotted lizard once. The test period was 7 days, and the test data were recorded every day.
