1 Scope
This document describes a method for the determination of short-chain chlorinated paraffins in consumer products using gas chromatography-negative chemical ionization mass spectrometry.
This document applies to consumer products (except electronic and electrical products, toys, textiles) containing the following materials.
Determination of Short-chain Chlorinated Paraffins.
---Plastics (including polyvinyl chloride and polyurethane);
---Coating materials;
---Liquids and similar viscous materials (including inks, coatings, adhesives).
Other materials in consumer products shall be tested with reference to this document after verification.
2 Normative references
This document has no normative references.
3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
A mixture of chlorinated alkanes with carbon atoms ranging from 10 to 13, with the general chemical formula CmH2m2-nCln (m=10~13), CAS number. 85535-84-8.
4 Principle
After the samples were prepared, they were extracted with n-hexane by ultrasonic method at room temperature. The extract was purified by concentrated sulfuric acid and analyzed by gas chromatography-negative chemical chromatography.
The samples were determined by ionization source mass spectrometry (GC-NCI/MS) and quantified by internal standard method.
5 Reagents or materials
Unless otherwise specified, all reagents used in this document were of analytical grade or above.
5.1 n-Hexane. chromatographic grade.
5.2 Standard substances. short-chain chlorinated paraffin standard substances with chlorine contents of 51.5%, 55.5% and 63%, respectively, with mass concentrations of
It is 100mg/L.
5.3 Internal standard substances. ε-benzene (CAS No.. 6108-10-7), 1,1,1,3,10,11-hexachloroundecane (CAS No.. 601523-28-8),
