1 Scope
This document describes the testing principle of the infrared refractive index temperature coefficient of infrared optical glass, stipulates the testing instruments, samples, environmental requirements, measurement
test procedures, data processing and test reports.
This document is suitable for testing the refractive index temperature coefficient of infrared optical glass in the 2μm ~ 13μm band, and the refraction of other infrared optical materials.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
The change in the refractive index of a material per unit temperature when other conditions remain unchanged.
Note. The temperature coefficient of refractive index is expressed by the symbol dn/dT.
3.2
Light is vertically incident on one working surface of the prism and then emerges from the other working surface. It is obtained by measuring the deflection angle of the exiting light relative to the incident light.
Index of refraction method.
4 Test principle
The AC reflection image of the triangular prism exiting working surface is used to achieve precise positioning of the sample under test, so that the infrared parallel beam with wavelength λ is vertically incident
It reaches the AB surface of the triangular prism with the vertex angle α, passes through the prism and exits from the AC surface, measures the deflection angle β, and calculates the refraction of the sample at this wavelength λ.
