Summary: This standard specifies the requirements and naming of semi-finished products of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). This standard applies to the production of semi-finished polytetrafluoroethylene containing up to 1% of comonomers. The PTFE used to make semi-finished products can be new materials, or reprocessed or recycled resins. The maximum amount of pigment or colorant added is 1.5% by mass, which is also suitable for processing conditions of different forms of unfilled PTFE products. This standard divides semi-finished products into four grades based on the difference in tensile strength and tensile breaking strain.
