Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document supersedes GB/T 33679-2017 "Technical Conditions for Storage of Propellants and Refrigerants for Weather Modification" and is consistent with...
Compared with GB/T 33679-2017, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The terms "combustion agent" and "refrigerant" have been added (see 3.1 and 3.2), while the terms "isolated storage," "separate storage," and "separate storage" have been deleted.
(See sections 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 in the.2017 edition);
b) The "Categories" section has been removed (see Chapter 4 in the.2017 edition);
c) The storage requirements for refrigerant containers have been changed [see 4.2c), 5.14 of the.2017 edition;
d) The requirements for fire protection facilities in storage areas have been changed [see Chapter 5c), 5.6 of the.2017 edition];
e) Increased requirements for configuring alarm devices in storage locations [see Chapter 5 d)];
f) The requirements for static electricity protection at propellant storage sites have been changed [see Chapter 5f, 5.8 of the.2017 edition];
g) The requirement for a storage location identifier has been removed [see 5.9 and 5.10 of the.2017 edition];
h) The ventilation requirements for storage areas have been changed [see Chapter 5g), 5.19 of the.2017 edition];
i) An "Emergency Response Measures" section has been added (see Chapter 6).

Artificial weather modification uses propellants and refrigerants
Storage technology conditions
1 Scope
This document specifies the storage methods, storage locations, and emergency response measures for propellants and refrigerants used in weather modification.
This document applies to the storage and management of propellants and refrigerants used in weather modification operations.
This document does not apply to the storage of fuels and refrigerants during the production process.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Combustion agent for weather modification
Combustible mixtures that produce artificial ice nuclei or hygroscopic nuclei by burning silver iodide or hygroscopic salts.
3.2
[Weather Modification] Coolant
Substances that can cause cloud droplets and fog droplets to form ice crystals through cooling.
Note. Refrigerants used in weather modification include liquid nitrogen, dry ice, and liquid carbon dioxide.
4.Storage method
4.1 Propellants and refrigerants should not be stored in the open air, but should be stored in buildings or containers.
4.2 The propellant and refrigerant shall be stored in the following manner.
a) Palletizing.
1) Propellants and dry ice. should be stored in stacks, with a stacking height not exceeding 1.6m;
2) Liquid nitrogen and liquid carbon dioxide. should not be stored in stacks.
b) Channel.
1) Width should be set between propellants and refrigerants, and between different types/models/batches of propellants or refrigerants.
A passageway at least 0.6m wide;
2) A passage with a width of not less than 1.2m should be provided between each stack of propellant, refrigerant and the entrance/exit of the storage area.
