Preface
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 28683-2012 "Technical Specifications for Phalaenopsis Cultivation" and GB/T 28684-2012 "Quality Standards for Phalaenopsis Seedlings".
Compared with GB/T 28683-2012 and GB/T 28684-2012, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are
as follows.
--- Changed the terms and definitions of leaf length, leaf width, leaf distance, stem thickness, small seedling, medium seedling, large seedling, small plant type, medium plant type, and large plant type (see
3.1~3.10, 2.1~2.10 of GB/T 28684-2012);
--- Added the terms and definitions of mini flower type, small flower type, medium flower type, large flower type and guide root (see 3.11 to 3.15);
--- Deleted the terms and definitions of seedlings and split seedlings (see 2.11 and 2.12 of GB/T 28684-2012);
--- Added production procedures (see Chapter 4);
--- Changed facilities and equipment (see 5.1, Chapter 3 of GB/T 28683-2012);
--- Changed the preparation before planting (see 5.2~5.4, 4.1 of GB/T 28683-2012);
--- Added fertilizer selection and facility disinfection (see 5.5, 5.6);
---Changed the management steps for the seedling stage, medium seedling stage, large seedling stage, stem-pulling stage, peduncle-pulling stage, bud stage, and flowering stage
(See 6.1 to 6.3, 7.1 to 7.3, and 4.2 to 4.7 of GB/T 28683-2012);
--- Added salt content testing for substrates of small, medium and large seedlings (see 6.1.7, 6.2.6 and 6.3.6);
--- Changed the pest and disease control for small seedlings, medium seedlings and large seedlings (see 6.1.8, 6.2.7, 6.3.7, Chapter 5 of GB/T 28683-2012);

Phalaenopsis
1 Scope
It defines the quality inspection level, marking, packaging, storage and transportation, and describes the traceability method of file management.
This document applies to the cultivation management and quality assessment of Phalaenopsis seedlings using sphagnum moss as the substrate.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
leaf length
Count the straight-line distance from the leaf scar of the second mature leaf to the leaf tip from top to bottom.
3.2
leaf width
The maximum width of the second mature leaf from the top when naturally expanded.
3.3
The straight-line distance between the two leaf tips of the second and third mature leaves when they are naturally open, counting from top to bottom.
3.4
stem diameter
The diameter of the stem including the leaf sheath.

small plantlet
The tissue culture seedlings are planted in transparent nutrient pots with a diameter of 5.0 cm or 5.5 cm (1.5 inches or 1.7 inches). After 4 to 6 months,
