This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document supersedes GB/T 26900-2011 "Bamboo Charcoal for Air Purification", GB/T 26913-2011 "Bamboo Charcoal", and GB/T 28669- 2012 "Bamboo Charcoal for Fuel", GB/T 30365-2013 "Bamboo Charcoal for Bedding" and GB/T 31744-2015 "Bamboo Charcoal for Water Purification - Basic Performance Tests" Test methods. Compare with GB/T 26900-2011, GB/T 26913-2011, GB/T 28669-2012, GB/T 30365-2013 and Compared with GB/T 31744-2015, apart from structural adjustments and editorial modifications, the main technical changes are as follows. a) The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of GB/T 26913-2011); b) The terminology and definition for charcoal fragments have been removed (see section 3.4 of GB/T 26913-2011); c) The terms and definitions for bamboo charcoal, bamboo tube charcoal, bamboo chip charcoal, granular bamboo charcoal, and powdered bamboo charcoal have been revised (see 3.1~3.5, GB/T 26913-). Chemical performance indicators (see Tables 3-7); l) Increased calorific value, formaldehyde adsorption rate, VOC adsorption rate, pH, apparent density, strength, iodine adsorption value, moisture absorption rate, and far-infrared emission. Test methods for yield, particle size, organic carbon, and specific surface area (see 6.6~6.17); m) The determination of formaldehyde adsorption rate and VOC adsorption rate has been added (see Appendix A and Appendix B). Bamboo charcoal 1.Scope This document defines the terminology and definitions of bamboo charcoal, and specifies its classification and marking, technical requirements, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, and storage. The corresponding test methods are described for transportation and testing. This document applies to bamboo charcoal produced from bamboo through various pyrolysis methods.

This includes machine-made bamboo charcoal and bamboo-shaped charcoal. 3.6.1 Mechanized bamboo charcoal Molded bamboo charcoal is made by extruding bamboo powder into shape and then carbonizing it. 3.6.2 bamboo-shaped charcoal bamboo-shaped charcoal Molded bamboo charcoal is made by adding binders to bamboo charcoal powder and then processing it through molding, drying, and other processes. 3.7 Bamboo charcoal is used for combustion to obtain heat energy. 3.8 Bamboo charcoal is used to adsorb and degrade various air pollutants, thus purifying the air. 3.9 Bamboo charcoal is used to adsorb pollutants in water and has the function of purifying water quality. 3.10 Bamboo charcoal with infrared radiation and humidity-regulating functions, used for home health and wellness. 3.11 Bamboo charcoal is used for soil conditioning, and has the functions of soil improvement and contaminated soil remediation. 3.12 Moisture content per unit mass of bamboo charcoal. Note. Expressed as mass fraction. 3.13 The content of inorganic residues after a unit mass of bamboo charcoal is burned to constant weight. Note.
