This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"

This document replaces GB/T 24212-2009 "Methylnaphthalene oil". Compared with GB/T 24212-2009, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes,
In addition to the above, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The technical indicators of methyl naphthalene oil have been changed (see 4.1, 4.1 of the.2009 edition);
b) Added the determination method of phenol content (see 5.5);
c) Added the viscosity determination method (see 5.6);
d) Added the determination method of crystals at 15°C (see 5.7);
e) The batch rules have been changed (see 6.2, 6.3 of the.2009 edition);
f) Added qualification determination rules (see 6.5);
g) Deleted controversial content (see 6.6 of the.2009 edition);
h) Added safety precautions (see 8.5).

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate, safety precautions for methyl naphthalene oil.
The test method is described.
This document applies to the methylnaphthalene oil fraction obtained by high temperature distillation of coal tar.
