Introduction
One aspect of standardization activities is drafting high-quality standardization documents to establish comprehensive technical rules. To achieve this goal...
Yes, my country has already issued GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" and
GB/T 20001, "Rules for Drafting Standards," establishes general rules applicable to the drafting of various types of standardization documents and rules applicable to specific categories of standardization documents.
The rules for standardization documents. However, the writing of certain content in standardization documents has its own characteristics and rules, which should be considered and followed when drafting the documents.
By following these guidelines, the rules established in the standardized documents can be made more instructive, thereby achieving the goal of drafting high-quality standardized documents.
GB/T 20002, "Guidelines for Writing Specific Content in Standards," aims to provide clear guidance when writing specific content.
Standardized documents of the guideline type. These specific contents mainly concern policy-level issues, one being the public interest, such as
The focus is on two main areas. safety, environmental protection, and sustainable development; and secondly, on vulnerable groups, such as the needs of the elderly, people with disabilities, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
GB/T 20002 is proposed to be divided into six parts in order to guide the writing of relevant content on the above issues in standardization documents.
---Part 1.Child Safety. The purpose is to provide guidance and recommendations for considering the need for child safety in the development of standardized documents.
Or provide relevant information.
---Part 2.Accessibility. The purpose is to provide guidance and suggestions for considering accessibility requirements in the development of standardized documents.
Or provide relevant information.
---Part 3.Environmental Considerations in Product Standards. The purpose is to provide guidance for considering environmental protection needs in the development of product standardization documents.
Provide guidance, suggestions, or relevant information.
---Part 4.Security-related. The purpose is to provide guidance, suggestions, or relevant information for considering security requirements in the development of standardized documentation.
Relevant information.
---Part 5.Sustainability. The purpose is to provide guidance and recommendations on considering sustainability needs in the development of standardized documents.
Or provide relevant information.
---Part 6.Addressing the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The aim is to consider the needs of SMEs in the development of standardized documents.
Provide guidance, advice, or relevant information.
Sustainability is the goal of sustainable development, referring to a state of global systems that meets the needs of the present without compromising the well-being of future generations.
Human beings' ability to meet their own needs. The concept of sustainability is constantly evolving. Understanding and achieving balance among environmental, social, and economic systems.
Balance (ideally in a mutually reinforcing manner) is key to achieving sustainability. Currently, achieving sustainability is considered a fundamental goal for all human activities.
One of the most important considerations in the process.
"Sustainable development" generally refers to the development path to achieve sustainability; "social responsibility" is used to describe the actions of an individual organization (such as a company) in promoting sustainability.
Contributions to sustainable development.
Standardized documents contribute directly (when specifically addressing sustainability issues) or indirectly (when involving testing, products, procedures, etc.) to achieving sustainability.
(When it comes to services, terminology, management systems, or auditing, etc.). However, due to the significant impact of sustainable development and the process of moving towards sustainability...
The extent to which this depends on numerous variables, including social, environmental, economic, geographical, and technological conditions, is therefore crucial for those developing standardization documents.
The key is to avoid drawing the general conclusion that certain specific activities (including processes) or products (including services) are "sustainable".
This document is intended for use by all personnel involved in the development and revision of standardized documents, as follows.
a) Raise awareness of sustainability issues arising from the application of standardized documents;
b) Provide a systematic approach for standardization document developers to ensure that the objectives of the standardization documents are consistently and closely linked to the development of the standardization documents.
The scope of this approach involves considering (addressing) sustainability issues in the development and revision of standardized documents;
c) Where practically feasible, promote consistency and compatibility among standardized documents that directly or indirectly relate to sustainability.
Those who develop standardization documents comprehensively consider sustainability issues at all stages of the standardization document development and revision process. Furthermore, since the beginning...
Since the release or review of a standardization document, the importance or relevance of some sustainability issues may have changed. This is especially relevant when drafting a new standard.
When standardizing or revising existing standardization documents, it is recommended that all standardization document developers actively promote the application of this document and incorporate relevant input.
The involvement of experts with ongoing domain expertise.
