3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
compressed air self-rescue
This is a self-rescue method in which people using a compressed air system obtain fresh air to achieve safe breathing conditions.
3.2
compressed air self-rescue system
Equipment, pipelines, and devices that compress and deliver air to underground mine roadways, safety facilities, and work sites to provide personnel with compressed air for self-rescue.
It is an organic whole consisting of equipment and facilities for monitoring and ensuring its safe and stable operation.
3.3
Compressed air self-delivery valve
Special air supply valves used by personnel to carry out compressed air self-rescue.
Note. When this valve is opened, compressed air can be delivered to its location.
