This standard replaces GB/T 30878-2014 "Information technology universal multi-bit coded character set (basic multi-language plane) Chinese characters 17×18 dot matrix font. 1 Scope

This standard stipulates that CJK unified Chinese characters in the basic multi-language plane of GB/T 13000 and its expansion set A and GB 18030 Chinese characters are mandatory.
