Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB 29742-2013 "Safety Production Specifications for Magnesium and Magnesium Alloy Smelting". Compared with GB 29742-2013, the only changes are in the structural design.
Aside from integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The scope of application has been changed, clarifying that this document does not apply to electrolytic magnesium refining (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2013 edition);
---The terms "calcination," "calcined whitening," "pelletized material," "pan kiln," "reduction," and "alloying," along with their definitions, have been removed (see sections 3.1 and 3.2 of the.2013 edition).
3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.8);
---Two new terms, "horizontal reduction furnace" and "vertical reduction furnace," and their definitions have been added (see 3.2 and 3.3);
---Added safety requirements for risk classification, hazard identification and mitigation, and confined space operations (see Chapter 4);
---The requirements for the emergency response plan have been changed (see 4.5, Chapter 6 of the.2013 edition);
---Added requirements for the safety protection of buildings (including bridges, tunnels, etc.) and pipelines crossing roads (see 5.4);
---Safety requirements for the rotary kiln drive system have been added (see 6.2.1);
---Added the requirement that real-time monitoring and alarms for pipeline pressure, flow rate, and temperature be installed in vertical kiln production (see 6.2.2);
---Added safety requirements for pellet preparation (see 6.3);
---Safety requirements for horizontal and vertical reduction furnaces have been added (see 6.4.1 and 6.4.2);
---The refining safety requirements have been changed (see 6.5.1, 5.4.2 in the.2013 version);
---The requirement for inspecting the welding lugs of the magnesium ladle has been added (see 6.5.1.6);
---Added safety requirements such as safety interlocks for equipment used in the casting process (see 6.5.2);
---The safety requirements for smelting (alloying) operations have been changed (see 6.6, 5.5 in the.2013 edition);
---Safety requirements for grinding operations have been added (see 6.7);
---The safety requirements for packaging, transportation, and storage have been changed (see 6.8, 5.6 in the.2013 edition);
---Safety requirements for pulverized coal preparation have been added (see 6.10);
---Added requirements for monitoring alarms, shut-off devices, and interlocks for gas-using equipment (see 8.1);
---Safety requirements for coal gas, natural gas, etc., have been revised (see 8.2, 8.3, and 5.1 of the.2013 edition);
---Added safety requirements for semi-coke oven gas (see 8.2).
