This document does not have terms or definitions that need to be defined.4 Classification
.1 Models of Polyvinyl Chloride Paste Resins The models of resin for polyvinyl chloride paste are composed of 6 parts as specified in GB/T 3402.1.product name, polymerization method, application, viscosity number code, standard paste proportion, and standard paste viscosity code. 4.2 Viscosity Number Code5 Requirements
.1 Appearance White powder. 5.2 Properties The viscosity number, K value, or average degree of polymerization of the polyvinyl chloride paste resins shall meet the requirements of Table 1; the standard paste viscosity shall meet the requirements of Table 3; and other physical and chemical properties shall meet the requirements of Table 4.6 Sampling
.1 Batching A batch consists of products obtained from a single reactor or several reactors produced under the same polymerization conditions, thoroughly mixed. 6.2 Sampling 6.2.1 For bagged products, in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 6678, determine the number of sampling units. Use a suitable sampling probe specified in GB/T 6679, vertically insert it into the center of the packaging bag to a depth of 3/4 to collect the samples. During exit-factory inspection and type inspection, manufacturing enterprises may use automatic sampling devices (or manual sampling) at intervals on the packaging line to collect representative samples. The sampling quantity shall not be less than 2 kg. 6.2.2 Thoroughly mix the collected samples, place them in a clean, dry container (or plastic bag), and tightly seal (samples used for determining residual vinyl chloride monomer content shall be stored in a well-sealed sample bottle and compacted to the brim). Label the container with the manufacturing enterprise’s name, product name, model, batch number or production date, sampling quantity and sampling date, etc.7 Test Methods
.1 Appearance Visually observe under natural light. 7.2 Determination of Viscosity Number, K Value and Average Degree of Polymerization 7.2.1 Description of determination methods Any method may be chosen for determining viscosity number, K value and average degree of polymerization. Among them, GB/T 3401 is the arbitration method. 7.2.2 Determination of viscosity number Determine in accordance with the method specified in GB/T 3401. 7.2.3 Determination of K value Determine in accordance with the method specified in GB/T 3401. 7.2.4 Determination of average degree of polymerization Determine in accordance with the method specified in Appendix A of GB/T 5761-2018. 7.3 Determination of Standard Paste Viscosity 7.3.1 Use the standard paste proportions in Table 2, in accordance with the method specified in GB/T 21991-2008 or GB/T 16613, prepare paste.
