3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4146.1, FZ/T 50017 and the following apply to this document.

thermal stability
The change of the shape of the yarn under the influence of a certain temperature.
3.2
dry heat shrinkage shrinkageinhotair
The difference in the length of the yarn before and after hot dry air treatment, as a percentage of the length before treatment.
4 Product classification and marking
4.1 Polyimide fiber unbleached yarns are classified by different linear densities.
4.2 The raw material code of polyimide fiber unbleached yarn is PI.
4.3 The raw material name (or code) of the yarn should be marked before the linear density when marking the polyimide fiber uncolored yarn.
Example. The linear density is 20tex polyimide fiber uncolored yarn, which can be written as. PI20tex.
