Summary This standard specifies mineral insulation with a molecular weight of 290 to 500 and an aromatic carbon content of 0% to 60% (when the aromatic carbon content CA <25%, the alkyl chain carbon content CP should be 40% to 70%) Infrared spectroscopy method for determining the structural family composition of oil and mineral lubricants. This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of alkane chain carbon CP, aromatic carbon content CA and naphthenic carbon content CN in mineral insulating oil and lubricating oil structural group. This standard does not apply to the determination of the structural family composition of synthetic oils and semi-synthetic oils.
