Part 1. Determination of aluminum oxide content - EDTA titrimetric method Part 2. Determination of silicon dioxide content - Gravimetric-molybdenum blue photometric method Part 3. Determination of silicon dioxide content - Molybdenum blue photometric method Part 4. Determination of iron oxide content - Potassium titrimetric method Part 5. Determination of iron oxide content - Orthophenanthroline photometric method Part 6. Determination of titanium dioxide content - Diantipyrylmethane photometric method Part 7. Determination of calcium oxide content - Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method Part 8. Determination of magnesium oxide content - Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method Part 9. Determination of potassium oxide, sodium oxide content - Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method Part 10. Determination of manganese oxide content - Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method Part 11. Determination of chromium oxide content - Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method Part 12. Determination of vanadium pentoxide content - N-benzoyl-N- phenylhydroxylamine photometric method Part 13. Determination of zinc content - Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method Part 14. Determination of total content of rare earth oxide - Tribromo- arsenazo photometric method This part replaces the standard previously issued as follows. - YS/T 575.19-2006 (formerly GB/T 3257.21-1999). Methods for chemical analysis of bauxite – Part 19. Determination of the loss on ignition - Gravimetric method 1 Scope This part specifies the determination method for the loss on ignition of bauxite. This part applies to determination of the loss on ignition in the bauxite ore, AND the determination range is 10% ~ 30%. 2 Normative references The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this part through reference in this part. For the dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this part; however, parties who reach an agreement based on this part are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies. YS/T 575.22-2007 Methods for chemical analysis of bauxite - Determination of hydroscopic moisture on gravimetric method 3 Principle of method PLACE the sample into the crucible which is preheated to constant weight; in the 375 °C ± 25 °C high temperature furnace, HEAT it for 10 min. COVER the crucible and TRANSFER it into another high temperature furnace; at 1075 °C ± 25 °C, HEAT it to constant weight. As for the result of the loss on ignition, USE the amount of the raw moisture to calibrate it. 4 Instrument 4.1 Flat type vial. the size is sufficient to contain the required amount of sample, AND the layer density of sample is about 5 mg/mm2. 9 Inspection report The inspection report shall include the following. a) The identification of the sample; b) The criterion adopted; c) Test results. the average of the two measurements, keeping two significant figures; d) Anomalies observed during the inspection process; e) Operations not covered by this part and the referenced standard methods, or operations that may be selected; f) Test date. ......
