1 Scope
This Part specifies the method for determining the oil and moisture content of
molybdenum concentrate.
This Part applies to the determination of oil and moisture content in loose
molybdenum concentrate. The determination range is 0.50%~15.00%.
2 Method summary
WEIGH the molybdenum concentrate sample; at (150±5)°C, DRY it to a
constant mass; determine the oil and moisture content.
3 Instruments
3.1 Analytical balance: The division value is 0.001 g.
3.2 Drying oven: It has an adjustable temperature-control device, with a
temperature error of less than ±5 °C. It also has a blower device which can
make the air in the drying oven flow without blowing away the sample.
4 Analytical procedures
4.1 Sample
WEIGH 10 g of sample, accurate to 0.001 g.
4.2 Number of determinations
Perform 2 determinations independently. TAKE the average. If the two analysis
results are out of the error range, re-sample for determination.
4.3 Determination
PLACE the sample (4.1) in a dry, pre-constant weight weighing bottle of known
