Compared with YD/T 868-1996, the major changes of this Standard are as follows. -- it changes the name of the standard into “Technical requirements and measuring methods for additional equipment of telephone set”; -- it specifies the definitions of additional equipment; -- it adds reference standards; -- the addition of additional equipment having the proxy dialing function shall be as required by YD/T 1361. New requirements are added for additional equipment having the alarm signal sending function; -- the addition of additional equipment having the number identification function shall be as required by YD/T 1277.1. For the measuring methods see the relevant clauses of YD/T 1277.2; -- it adds the safety requirements by directly referencing YD/T 965, The safety requirement and test method for telecommunication terminal equipment; -- it adds the electromagnetic compatibility requirements by directly referencing YD/T 968, Limits and methods of measurement of electromagnetic compatibility for telecommunication terminal equipment; -- it adds the lightning resistance requirements by directly referencing YD/T 993- 1998, The technical requirements and test methods of overvoltages and overcurrents resistibility for telecommunication terminal equipment. The following standards are referenced in the drafting process of this Standard. GB/T 15279, The specifications of automatic telephone set; YD/T 965, The safety requirement and test method for telecommunication terminal equipment; YD/T 968, Requirements and test methods of electromagnetic compatibility for telecommunication terminal equipment; YD/T 993, The technical requirements and test methods of overvoltages and overcurrents resistibility for telecommunication terminal equipment. Technical requirements and measuring methods for additional equipment of telephone set 1 Scope This Standard specifies the technical requirements and measuring methods for the additional equipment, including functional requirements, basic technical requirements and environmental test, electromagnetic compatibility, safety and lightning protection. This Standard applies to the equipment for the access to the PSTN network, which is capable of performing the auxiliary functions independently or along with the telephone set. 2 Normative references The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard, however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies. GB/T 15279, The specifications of automatic telephone set YD/T 965, The safety requirement and test method for telecommunication terminal equipment YD/T 968, Limits and methods of measurement of electromagnetic compatibility for telecommunication terminal equipment YD/T 993, The technical requirements and test methods of overvoltages and overcurrents resistibility for telecommunication terminal equipment YD/T 1277.1, Technical specification and testing method of caller identity delivery based on PSTN – Part 1. Technical specification YD/T 1277.2, Technical specification and testing method of caller identity delivery based on PSTN – Part 2. Testing method YD/T 1361, Technical requirements and testing methods for telephone dialer operation of the telephone network and the normal service of the telephone set; 6) the additional equipment, which is connected to an external power supply (including AC mains and batteries), shall not interfere with the service of the telephone set in case of any failure of the external power supply; 7) the additional equipment shall be capable of operating normally in case of any change in the power polarity of the subscriber line; 8) the additional equipment started automatically, shall not do maloperation when the receiving exchange test signals automatically; 9) the additional equipment shall be capable of operating normally under the conditions of 0 ~ 5 km of the subscriber line; 10) the additional equipment shall reset automatically after performing a function; 11) the special functions of the additional equipment shall be as specified in relevant standards. 4.3 Basic technical requirements 1) The DC current absorbed by the additional equipment in the standby condition from the subscriber line shall not be greater than 25 μA; 2) when the terminal equipment is in the working condition, the DC resistance of the additional equipment on the subscriber loop shall not be greater than 130 Ω; 3) when the additional equipment operates independently, its DC resistance shall not be greater than 500 Ω; 4) when the additional equipment is in the standby condition, its AC impedance at the frequency of 1 000 Hz. |Z| ≥ 10 kΩ; 5) when the additional equipment operates independently or along with the telephone set, its stable balanced return loss and echo balanced loss shall be as specified in GB/T 15279; 6) for the additional equipment which has the ringing current testing function, its ringing current activation sensitivity shall not be greater than 100 mVA; 7) the additional equipment of the dialing limit type is equally effective for pulse and double audio frequency dialing. When its dialing limit function is activated (e.g. after the equipment limiting long distance numbers receives a number whose first digit is 0), all numbers received shall be fully limited. The time of dialing limit shall not be less than 5 s; 4.5 Electromagnetic compatibility requirements The electromagnetic compatibility performance of the additional equipment shall be as specified in YD/T 968. 4.6 Safety requirements The safety requirements for the additional equipment shall be as specified in YD/T 965. 4.7 Lightning protection requirements The lightning protection requirements for the additional equipment shall be as specified in YD/T 993. 5 Measuring methods 5.1 Measuring environment Environmental temperature. 15°C ~ 35°C; Relative humidity. 45% ~ 75%; Atmospheric pressure. 86 ~ 106 kPa; The noise level around the test site shall not be greater than 55 dB(A). 5.2 Measuring instruments and equipment 1) The requirements for measuring instruments and equipment are the same as those specified in GB/T 15279. 2) The equivalent network of the AC impedance of the test telephone set is as shown in Figure 1. ......
