1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements and test methods for flame retardant
performance of decorating materials for multiple unit train.
This Standard applies to decorating materials for multiple unit train with an operating
speed greater than or equal to 200 km/h.

3 Technical requirements
3.1 Material classification
Decorating materials for multiple unit train are classified according to different
application sites, which is shown in Table 1.
3.2 Technical requirements
4 Test methods
4.1 Oxygen index test
The test method for oxygen index of rubber material is in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 10707-2008; the test method for oxygen index of fiber reinforced
plastics is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8924-2005; the test method for
oxygen index of textile materials is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 5454-
1997; the test method for oxygen index of other materials such as plastic and rubber
materials is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 2406.2-2009.
4.2 Flammability test
The flammability test is carried out in accordance with UIC 564-2-1991.For products
that cannot be made into standard samples, it may use the raw material of products to
make test samples
4.3 Smoke density test
4.3.1 If the test sample meeting the test requirements can be obtained from the product,
the sample is prepared directly, of which the maximum thickness shall not be greater
than 25 mm; if the thickness is more than 25 mm, it shall be processed to 25 mm; if
the product material is inconsistent, it shall carry out double-sided test. If the sample
cannot be obtained from the product, the thickness of the prepared sample is 4 mm.
4.4 Toxic gas analysis
4.4.1 Gas collection test method
The test sample of this test method is tested in a smoke density chamber complying
with the provisions of GB/T 8323.2-2008 and ASTM E662-09.Collect gas at the same
time as the smoke density test.
4.4.3 Gas analysis
4.4.3.1 Analysis of CO and CO2
The collected harmful gases are absorbed by the aqueous solution, dried by a drying
apparatus with CaCl2, and then connected to a CO and CO2 infrared analyzer for gas
analysis.
4.4.3.6 Analysis of NOx (in NO1) gas
The NOx gas analysis is carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 17096-1997.
4.4.4 Result processing
The test data processing is carried out according to the provisions of GB 8323.2-2008.
4.5 Other requirements
4.5.1 For interlayer materials, if the materials of two sides are inconsistent, the double-
sided test shall be carried out for determining the flammability.
