The electromagnetic clutch, by turning on/off a winding circuit, that combines or
separates the driving disc and the driven disc.
3.17 Multistage electromagnetic clutch
The electromagnetic clutch, control multiple sets of winding circuits on/off in order, that
realizes the multiple working states of the driving disc and driven disc, such as from
follow operation, non-synchronized operation to synchronized operation or stepwise
separation from the driving disc.
4 Classification of Electromagnetic Fan Clutch
4.1 It can be divided into two types of with and without brush according to the structure.
4.2 It can be divided into two types of single stage and multistage according to the
work shift.
4.3 It can be divided into two voltage specifications of 12V and 24V according to the
rated voltage.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 General requirements
5.1.1 The product shall be manufactured according to the product drawings and
technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures, and shall conform to the
provisions of this Standard.
5.1.2 The product drawings and technical documents of the electromagnetic clutch
shall specify: product model, rated voltage, initial static friction torque, performance
parameters of electrical components, rotation direction and tightening torque of
mechanical fasteners, etc.
5.1.3 The product is not allowed to have defects that affect the performance. The parts
of the electromagnetic clutch are not allowed to have defects such as burrs, damage,
rust, cracks, etc.
1min without breakdown.
5.2.9 Insulation heat resistance.
The insulation heat resistance of the electrical components of the electromagnetic
clutch must be no lower than Class F; and the temperature rise of the winding coil shall
be no greater than 65 °C.
5.2.10 Electromagnetic radiation immunity.
The electromagnetic radiation immunity of the electrical components of the
electromagnetic clutch shall conform to the relevant provisions of GB/T 17619.
5.2.11 Electromagnetic disturbance.
The electromagnetic disturbance of the electrical components of the electromagnetic
clutch shall conform to the relevant provisions of GB 18655.
5.2.12 Vibration resistance.
The electromagnetic clutch assembly shall be able to withstand the sweep frequency
vibration test in the three directions of X, Y, and Z; and the test time in each direction
is 8h. After the vibration test, the parts are not damaged or deformed, the fasteners are
not loose, and the electrical contacts and conductor insulation are intact. Their
performance shall conform to the provisions of 5.2.2 and 5.2.4.
5.2.13 Temperature resistance.
After the temperature resistance test of the electromagnetic clutch is completed, the
torque shall conform to the relevant provisions of 5.2.2.
