Foreword
This document was drafted, in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2020 "Directives for
standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing
documents".
This document replaces QC/T 618-2013 "Specifications for plastic expansion nut".
Compared with QC/T 618-2013, the main technical changes are as follows:
- DEFINE the plastic expansion nuts stipulated in the 2013 version of the standard
as plastic expansion nuts used in normal temperature environments, ADD plastic
expansion nuts in high temperature environments (see Chapter 1)
- ADD the requirements for prohibited substance (see 3.3)
- ADD the requirements on the pull-off force of plastic expansion nuts in high-
temperature environments (see 3.7)
- ADD the heat resistance test requirements for plastic expansion nuts in high-
temperature environments (see 4.1.2);
- ADD the pull-off force test requirements for plastic expansion nuts in high-
temperature environments (see 4.4.1).

Specifications for plastic expansion nut
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, acceptance inspection,
marking and packaging of automotive plastic expansion nuts.
This document is applicable to plastic expansion nuts, which are matched with plastic
(nylon) self-tapping screws, including plastic expansion nuts used in normal
temperature environment and high temperature environment.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents constitute the essential provisions of this
document through normative references in the text. For the dated documents, only the
versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated
documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this
standard.

3 Terms and definitions
This document does not have terms and definitions, that need to be defined.
4 Requirements
4.1 The material is polyamide. PA66 is recommended. Other polyamide materials can
also be selected, according to the functional requirements of the parts.
4.2 Plastic expansion nuts shall have no defects, such as discoloration, deformation,
deterioration, cracks.
