1 Scope
This Standard specifies the coding rules for automotive standardized-parts.
This Standard applies to the development, design, manufacture, purchase, distribution,
etc. of automotive vehicles, motorcycles and parts.

Dimension specification code shall be expressed by the variable digits.
Code is expressed by using the major dimensional parameters of products. Those,
which is inappropriate to express directly, shall be expressed by using corresponding
integers converted from major dimensional parameters; and those, which is still
inappropriate to express, shall be expressed by using the sequential number of the
dimensional series within the variety. It shall use the minimum dimensional parameter
to indicate a product-specification; AND it shall be one-to-one corresponding to
specification.
When a major parameter of products contains a decimal specification, it shall be
expressed by using tenfold of the decimal specification. If it will be mixed up with other
integer specifications, then the parameter shall be expressed by using tenfold of all
specifications of the parameter.
