1 Scope
This Document stipulates the terms and definitions, classification and codes, dimensions,
appearance, technical requirements, inspection and test, packaging, marking and inspection
documents of electrolytically zinc coated steel sheet and strip.
This Document applies to electrolytically zinc coated steel sheet and strip produced by Baoshan

h) Surface quality;
i) weight;
j) Packaging method;
k) Others.
5.2 If the dimensional and unevenness accuracy, surface quality level, surface treatment type
and packaging method are not specified in the order contract, normal dimensional accuracy,
ordinary unevenness accuracy, surface quality level of FB, and the surface treatment of
chromium-free passivation treatment (C5) shall prevail; the product shall be delivered
according to the packaging method specified by the supplier.
6 Dimensions, Appearance, Weight and Allowable Deviations
6.1 The nominal thickness of steel sheets and strips is the sum of the thickness of the substrate
and the thickness of the coating.
6.2 The dimension, appearance and allowable deviation of steel sheets and strips shall comply
with the provisions of Q/BQB 401.
6.3 Steel sheets are usually delivered according to theoretical weight, but may also be delivered
according to actual weight. See Appendix A for the calculation method of theoretical weight.
Steel strips are usually delivered by actual weight.
7 Technical Requirements
7.1 Chemical composition
The chemical composition of steel sheets and strips shall comply with the provisions of the
substrate documents listed in this Document.
7.2 Mechanical and process properties
7.2.1 The mechanical and process properties of steel sheets and strips shall comply with the
relevant provisions of the corresponding substrate documents Q/BQB 408, Q/BQB 410,
Q/BQB 418, Q/BQB 419 or other cited substrate technical specifications. Tensile specimens
are coated specimens.
7.2.2 When steel sheets and strips are supplied as specified parts, the supplier and the purchaser
can agree on a mechanical property range that meets the processing requirements of the parts
as the acceptance benchmark. At this time, the mechanical property specified in the
corresponding substrate document shall no longer be used as the basis for delivery.
FD The better side of the two sides of the product must further limit the defects, that is, it cannot affect the appearance quality after painting, and the other side must at least meet the requirements of FB.
7.5.2 For steel strips, since there is no opportunity to cut off the defective part of the strip, the
steel strip is allowed to be delivered with defects, but the defective part shall not exceed 3% of
the total length of each coil.
7.6 Surface treatment
7.6.1 Steel sheets and strips are usually delivered by chemically passivated and/or oiled surface
treatment forms. Under normal packaging, transportation, loading and unloading and storage
conditions, the supplier shall ensure that no white rust shall occur on the surface of steel sheets
and strips within 6 months from the date of completion of manufacturing.
NOTE: The issuance date in the product inspection document is usually specified as the manufacturing
completion date of the product.
7.6.2 During the transportation or storage of steel sheets and strips, all surface treatment forms
can only provide temporary protection for the product surface, and the color of the product
surface may change.
7.6.3 For steel sheets and strips with oil-coated surfaces, the surface protection effect mainly
depends on the storage duration. As the storage duration of the product increases, the
distribution of the oil film of the surface anti-rust oil shall become more and more uneven,
which may produce exposed spots in local areas, which may further produce white rust and
friction marks. Different anti-rust oil products shall exhibit completely different properties.
7.6.4 Users shall choose appropriate surface treatment methods based on their own product uses,
processing techniques, painting methods, painting equipment and other specific conditions, and
try to shorten the storage duration of steel sheets and strips.
7.6.5 Choosing a suitable surface treatment form can reduce the tendency of white rust and
friction marks during transportation and storage, and at the same time improve the adhesion of
the paint layer during subsequent processing and protect the coating.
7.6.6 If phosphating and painting are required for subsequent processing, passivation treatment
is not recommended.
7.6.7 For surface treatment methods involving oiling, the purchaser shall ensure that the
cleaning agent used in its degreasing equipment shall not damage the coating quality.
7.6.8 If the user specifies the untreated surface (U), it shall be clearly stated in the contract. The
supplier shall not bear corresponding product quality responsibility for surface defects such as
white rust, scratches, and friction marks that occur during handling, storage, and use of this
type of product.
7.6.9 The available surface treatments are as follows:
7.6.9.1 Chromium-free passivation (C5)
This surface treatment can reduce white rust on the surface of the product during transportation
and storage, and can also improve the corrosion resistance of the end product. Chromium-free
passivation film limits hexavalent chromium substances that are harmful to human health. It
mainly suitable for general home appliance industry.
7.6.9.2 Chromium-free passivation + oiling (CO5)
