Functional ceramic toilet flushing test methods
1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the materials, reagents, test devices, test procedures,
test reports for the flushing test methods of ceramic toilets.
This standard applies to the inspection of the flushing function of ceramic toilets.

3 Method summary
Under the condition of limited flushing water volume, a test of discharging
artificial dirt is carried out. Observe and test the sewage discharge function,
washing surface flushing function, water seal, waste water replacement
function of the toilet.
4 Materials, reagents and test equipment
4.1 Table tennis (Φ38 ± 0.1 mm, the mass after water injection is 26 ± 0.4 g).
4.2 Sponge strips (Φ30 ~ Φ35 mm, length 70 mm, the mass after saturation in
water is about 70 g).
4.3 Methylene blue solution (1 g/L).
4.4 Red (or blue) ink.
4.5 The test device meets the following requirements:
4.5.1 In accordance with the provisions of GB 5346 and GB 8219, install water
tank accessories; test the water supply system.
The inner diameter of the flushing pipe of the low water tank is generally 45 mm;
the installation height (from the center of the toilet's water inlet to the bottom of
the water tank) is 200 mm.
The inner diameter of the flushing pipe of the high water tank is 28 ± 0.2 mm;
installation height is 1800 ± 20 mm; the drain outlet of the toilet is not connected
to the pipe.
4.5.2 Control the flushing water consumption, in accordance with the provisions
of GB 6952.
5 Specimen
Select a toilet, whose appearance quality meets the requirements of GB 6952,
as the test sample. Before each test is carried out, clean the flushing surface of
the toilet.
6 Test procedures
6.1 Test procedure for toilet
6.1.1 Sewage discharge function
6.1.1.1 The toilet is placed steadily and horizontally. It is connected to the test
device, which is specified in 4.5, to be in use state. Put 6 table tennis, that meet
the requirements of clause 4.1, into the toilet at a time. Flush immediately.
6.1.1.2 Observe and record the number of balls rushing out of the toilet.
6.1.2 Washing function
6.1.2.1 Wipe the flushing surface dry. Use a soft pen, to draw a circle of ink line,
along the cleaned surface, which is 25 mm below the toilet seat. Flush
immediately.
6.1.2.2 Observe and measure the total length of the ink line, which is remained
on the flushing surface. Record the result.
6.1.3 Measurement of water seal depth
As shown in Figure 1, use a steel tape, to measure the depth, h, from the bottom
of the toilet flap to the water surface.
