GB/T 7129-2001 GB NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ICS 23.040.70 G 42 GB/T 7129-2001 / idt ISO 6801:1983 Replacing GB/T 7129-1986 Rubber or plastics hoses - Determination of volumetric expansion ISSUED ON: AUGUST 28, 2001 IMPLEMENTED ON: MAY 01, 2002 Issued by: General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC Table of Contents Foreword ... 3 ISO Foreword ... 4 0 Introduction ... 5 1 Scope ... 5 2 Reference ... 5 3 Apparatus ... 5 4 Calibration of apparatus ... 6 5 Procedure ... 6 6 Expression of results ... 8 7 Test report ... 8 Foreword This Standard is identical to the international standard ISO 6801:1983 "Rubber or plastics hoses - Determination of volumetric expansion". This Standard is a revision of the national standard GB/T 7129-1986 "Determination of volumetric expansion of rubber hose for automotive hydraulic brake system". The main differences between this Standard and GB/T 7129-1986: - CHANGE the standard name to "Rubber or plastics hoses - Determination of volumetric expansion"; - Expand the scope of application of the standard; - According to the requirements of National Technical Committee 35 on Rubber and Rubber Products of Standardization Administration of China, add a safety statement before the main text; - In clause 2, add the introduction according to GB/T 1.1. This Standard, from the date of implementation, replaces GB/T 7129-1986. This Standard was proposed by State Bureau of Petroleum and Chemical Industry. This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of Subcommittee 1 on Hoses, National Technical Committee 35 on Rubber and Rubber Products of Standardization Administration of China. Drafting organization of this Standard: Nanjing No.7425 Factory. Main drafters of this Standard: Sun Kejian, Wang Liping. This Standard was first issued on December 30, 1986. Rubber or plastics hoses - Determination of volumetric expansion Warning: Personnel, who use this Standard, shall be familiar with formal laboratory procedures. This Standard is not intended to involve all safety problems that may arise from the use of this Standard. It is the user's responsibility to formulate corresponding safety and health systems and ensure compliance with national regulations. 0 Introduction When used for dispensing specific volumes of fluids, the volumetric capacity of a hose is often required to vary by only small amounts at the dispensing pressure. This Standard describes a method of checking that such requirements can be met. 1 Scope This Standard specifies a method for the determination of the volumetric expansion of rubber or plastics hoses under hydrostatic pressure. This Standard does not specify the dimensions of the test piece and the test pressure(s) as each of which will be specified in the appropriate product specification. 2 Reference The following standard contains provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. At the time of publication of this Standard, the editions indicated are valid. All standards are subject to revision. The parties who are using this Standard shall explore the possibility of using the latest edition of the following standard. GB/T 5563-1994 Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies - Hydrostatic testing. 3 Apparatus 3.1 See Figure 1 for the test apparatus.
