2000, this part has the major technical changes as follows.

1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 6183 specifies the type and dimension, technical conditions and
markings of prevailing torque tyke hexagon nuts with flange (with non-metallic insert),
style 2 – fine pitch thread.
This Part is applicable to the prevailing torque tyke hexagon nuts with flange (with non-
metallic insert), style 2 with thread nominal diameter D=8mm~20mm, fine thread and
Property Class 6, 8 and 10, Product Grades A and B. Grade A is applied to the nuts
with D≤16; while Grade B is applied to the nuts with D>16mm.
NOTE. such nuts equals to GB/T 6177.2 plus the effective torque part.
